Ahh.. help

I was trying to do a new skin for my blog but it won't work...

i truly like to apologies to my blog reader for a boring blog design muahaha, well even I'm sick with the layout.. like nenek punya blog saja haha.

Be patience until I get some help with my new design... tunggu.....!! ;p

I was touched by an angel.

This morning as I was going online, I received an email from one of my youth leaders.

Without any expectation, I opened the email, I was touch to find out that he has email me some of the materials and resources which he has found online to help me with my teaching for evangelism.

I was really touched by his efforts and I was truly blessed by those resources. I want to say thank you! =)

I have so much joy since I became you guys YD. I was truly blessed by each one of you especially by the six beautiful, most precious "pushers" (the monkeys, I mean the youth leaders).

The grace and hospitality that you all have shown me and had put through with me, were more than kind. Thank you for believing in me guys and thank you for having faith in God that He will do great things in ROCK.

Recently, I had learned greatly from Hudson Taylor, that actually it is POSSIBLE to live a wholly surrendered life to God. It is possible, even in this world now a day where holiness has faded and humans' priority to live for oneself is becoming the first thing in the life of everyone. The "MY" society, the "MY" world! 

Just like Hudson Taylor, I would like to devote my life wholly to serve God, to be use by Him, for His glory!

I may not know when will I fall, when will my heart turn from God, when will this desire to do His will be taken away from me. I don't know when?

Which is why everyday I got to come to Him on my knees in faithful prayer, that I may not turn the other way.  

Receiving the position as YD in KLBC was one of my most satisfying moment in my life.

To be honest, its so much better than being married. Haha I know some of you won't believe it because you all would known how much last time I wish to get married.

Seriously, having married you are only loved by one man, well now being a YD, I'm loved by many, well even its not many, but I know at least the 6 monkeys whom I dearly love, do. (Hopefully..wink haha)

I had learned a truth from BSF... COME FOR BSF..!! EVERY MONDAY 7:30PM IN KLBC. It said that "Having the will of God for you life, are life most satisfying experience." Amen, that is very true!

I'm not being content, even though being the YD its life most satisfying experience, so much more I do need prayer from everyone that I would continue to be humble and teachable and may I will follow His way and not my own. So much more I need prayer. 

I wish I could express my love for each one of you as good as how Paul would exhort his fellow workers.. lol but my expression and ENglishies not so good... bacically its beyond word haha. Love you guys very much. May you all come to know God more and love Him more.

You may think I was a bit outdated and would had start laughing at me haha.

Man, I have been singing this song, "We fall down" for ages now and only today I realized that it was originally written by Chris Tomlin.

These has proven two things, first, how little I actually know about Chris Tomlin (shame on you Ruth and you call yourself a supporter of Chris) and second, man, Chris Tomlin is old!! hahaha

I remembered the first time I sang this song in ROCK many many years ago, we was still in TIME SQUARE. I had straight away fall in love with the song once I heard it. Wow, what a humbled adoration to the Lord, where the song sang it first line... "we fall down" We lay our crown at the feet of Jesus"..

This song really show the Sovereignty of GOD.

Self-Denial

Churches every where from the West to East, from U.S to MALAYSIA, churches are hungry for a growing and stronger church. Oh, how our heart has sparkled the fire to become the radiant 'bride" for our Bridegroom, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

The call for unity as ONE church is sounding forth like a trumpet. ARISE CHURCH, ARISE CHURCH!!!

My heart felt amazed with His Deity, however my heart felt sorrow for the people of the world. ARISE CHURCH! Let's not look at all the small little misunderstanding that you have among another brother or sister, lets not spend time to hold grudge with another person because he or she was more wanted than you, let's not compare, let's not waste time to live selfish life, let's not chasing after things on earth, let's not love life more than GOD, let's not waste time. Today, I felt overwhelming, I felt the heart of Jesus calling for his church, His bride. When will we able to learn, to be a self-less church for Jesus?

Guys... the harvest is plentiful, but who are willing to go? Even though this is a familiar passage but today I really started to grab the full meaning of this word. When Jesus said this, my dear Jesus must have said it with a painful heart, a heart full of sorrows for He knew many had turn away from Him and His commands and live a life of their own. Oh God.. let me go! Let me go and serve the harvest, this I pray. May this be your prayer too brothers! May this be your prayer too my dear sisters!

I want to follow Jesus, what break the Lord's heart, may it break mine.

I cried out to God, that He may be patience with my sins and the sins of the church. May he come back soon...

Friends, ARISE CHURCH!

I'm sorry that I have no other "watering down" way to tell you the urgency for us to be self-denial. I know its hard when you guys have a bright life ahead of you. Friends, let's put away our selfish and sinful way of life, let's be self-sacrifice, God need young people who do not live for themselves to build a stronger church.

If you are convicted to do something but not sure and afraid to commit, would you pray this prayer with me together.

" Lord Jesus, I surrender to your Lordship. I Praise you for your Deity, my Savior. I heard your calling my Lord that the harvest in Malaysia is plentiful but the worker is few and my heart are convicted. I want to answer to your call, Yes Lord, take my life Lord and use it. I do not know what I need to do next but Lord may I have a surrendering and obedience heart to follow your will. Thank you for your love to me, your grace and kindness to me are never ending. Give me boldness and a burning fire for what is of your heart. In Jesus name I pray Amen"

Youths - just a feeling

Wowowo, read an article today and found this very power statement made toward "youths"

Whether the statement was true or not about youths today? You decide.

Will this statement provoke you or the other way round? I ll pray for you.

"Youths they no longer rely on God's objective truth to dictate what is right and wrong. Rather they rely on their feelings to determine whether or not something is right for me at that moment!!!"

Recently, I'm desperately in need of God's strenght. I was worn out from working, from running here and there and from trying to fulfill all the work which required from me. But the Lord was gracious in seeing me through.

As I was struggling with the pressure from all these stress, I realize deep down I was actually struggling from the pressure of a city's life, where all things done in a fast pace, where I need to run from one conference to another, where I need to catch up with the world in youths culture. I can hardly grab a moment of life that passes by.

What a waste! God has given us life which is so wonderful and beautiful, but sadly many times we have just easily let life pass it by just like that.

I believe when God say, "With the Lord one day is as a thousand years..." He also want us to know how precious each breath which he has given us and we are to enjoy and look life in one day as like a thousand years.

Take time to breathe take time to look enjoy each day. Take time to look at the wonderful world and creation which the Lord has created, which revealed His Glory. Take time to live this life with God...
each step at a time....

Delilah is back to town!

Wowowo… how POWERFUL the luring and the charms of a women to a men!

Today (24/8/08) I went out with some of my friends, contain both boys and girls. One of my friends was precious beauty to the eyes of the guys in the group. After some time of chatting, and some “heehee and haahaa”, miraculously my friend was able to make one of the guy to pay for her meal. Wowowo!!

At that time, I was thinking in my heart that, “Men are Dumb”. (It will make a good movie title) Maybe when I’m broke next time, I can do the same thing like my friend, so maybe I can get some free meals. I was tempted to proceed with such an evil plan, however very quickly I came to my senses and I ask does the “heehee and haahaa” makes me become more like the virtuous wife, which I always longing to be or will I be similar to a Delilah?

My friend really has the charm, she can charm almost all men with her “heehee and haahaa”, and I would not blame her for I think her effort and working or the “heehee and haahaa” does pay off. The footprint of the item I saw the other day written “Men are Dumb”.

Well, being a Delilah have its goods, they basically can get what they want with their “heehee and haahaa” If the things got to do with Delilah, I want no part in it. Being the virtuous wife may not get me free meals but it’s ok. At least it can contribute a little by giving Glory to GOD.

Oh, it’s a virtuous wife, is all I want to be!

P/S: I saw a billboard on the road to heaven that says, “Are men dumb?” (hehe)

Do you know where do they get the name "Kota Kinabalu"?

Here is what I learned in the 20 minutes taxi ride to the airport.

Back to history, the first group of China people that came to Malaysia were located in Sabah. The reason that they came, is no other reason but to do business, how typical it is? Chinese = Business!!
(why I mentioned so much of China in my blog.. scratching head, just coincident)

Last time Kota Kinabalu, were contain mountains, jungles and it's surrounded by the sea. The only transport is by boat. The China people settled there and spread their seeds in the country. They are very rich, so they kind of take over the whole island.

So came a rich China man who became one of the most influential person in the Island, he married a local and he love his wife very much. However.. I can't remember whether was it the man died or the wife died. Anyway, so he bought the whole Island and name it after himself and his wife.

"Kina" actually mean "Cina" and "balu" actually mean "wife". He dedicated this island to the wife.

Ironicly, there was no person that originally come from Kota Kinabalu. Originally the island and mountain only filled with plants and animals, human were not existed there. There is no one that original from Kota Kinabalu, the people that are staying in KK now are from all over Sabah.

Today

Man, I realized that I have a dozen of blog that I yet to post. I drafted it and kept postponing on publishing it. Gosh.. when would I ever finish doing all these blogging homework?

Well, here are a few acknowledgments of life during these few weeks:

1) China ROCKS! After the Olympic, I would not view China the same again. During the opening of Olympic, as my family and I was sticking our eyes as close as possible to the TV screen. I remembered telling my dad that I'm so proud to be a Chinese, I'm so proud to be Chinese, so proud that Chinese people can do such excellent and magnificent work. Wohohoho!

This pride were not my own, it belongs fully to China, I only a passerby, sharing the end of the cloak of the Glory. Anyway, China ROCKS!
2) Do you know one truth about you and I, which we often long forgotten due to the pain and mess of the world. This truth is 'YOU ARE BORN TO BE LOVED". Yes YOU ARE BORN TO BE LOVED. This is why we are born, even though human had messed up this important element in life, yet God has not forgotten, through life pains and mess, YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD!

Climbing the mountains with God!

My experienced of climbing mount Kota Kinabalu especially with the gentle guidance and leading of William had proven to myself that by faith in Jesus Christ there is no mountains of problems in the future which God and I could not handle. Matthew 17:20. Ruth, you got to alway remember this experience, and hold on to it!

The hand of William which holding tightly unto my hand throughout the whole journey, was such an assurance and security that God was with me. William was such a blessings to my life. I can never thank both GOD and William for helping me to encounter the fourth highest mountain in Southeast Asia, the mount Kota Kinabalu. Praise God!!

Even pastor failled! We are human too.

I was reading a blog from daren talking about Pastor Mike Guglielmucci was lying about his terminal illness.

He came out with this song called 'Healer" one of the most outstanding, inspiration and comforting songs. The song and lyric itself showed many true about Our God who Himself came to Heal!

However, the fraud was that the pastor self declare having cancer and was singing with his oxygen tube attached to his nose in one of hillsongs conference turn out to be he is not having any cancer. All this were a fraud and he was now seeking helps from profession regarding his condition.

Wow, human is still human.
Wowow, what a grace of God, only His great grace can forgive all our sins and lies.

Human came to this world to live a selfish life, making name for ourself, making fame and building our own Babylon, I myself is guilty of this. But Jesus came to this world to share His grace with us, He came so that we can forgive the sins which is too great to be forgiven and He also came so that we can lives the right way.

To the end of the world

The word of God is like drugs to me, the more I read and understand it, the more I want to know His word more. It is an addiction. Maybe this is what it said in Roman 6:16-18 where we are slaves to righteousness, slaves to God. I am tide to the Word of God! Well, even though my statue is a slave but I thank God that sins is not my Master, I belong to a loving and caring Master, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Who is your master? Just a thought…

Romans 6:16-18

Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness

Well, above is just an introduction…

Today devotion I came across Ephesians 2:14 saying, “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility….”

Even thought in this text its talk about the Jews and Gentile, which is why Jesus said he made the two one, where both can accept and hear about the good news, and the gospel is not for the elect people only but for everyone.

When I read this here were my thoughts (before I read the commentary and know the above…)

God is peace, how wonderful it is that I can go all over the world to preach of this peace, especially to places where have less peace. Am I asking God to send me to Africa??? Wowow wait a minutes! I think not in that way haha. (Hopefully! But when I’m old, I would like to travel to country like Africa and India for mission though.. In His will)

I felt a stirring in my heart when I read this word, I felt soaring high hope that the gospel can break through all barriers, reaching to people who never heard of Jesus, reaching all “gravezone” (North Korea, Tai Dam, Laos, Myanmar and Indonesia.. and many more!) for the message of HOPE, LOVE, JOY and PEACE through Jesus. With the authority and the power of the Gospel, we can go to the villager in the largest jungle in the Peruvian Amazon, or traveling to the continent of Antarctica, to the largest desert in the world to reach to the villager living in the Northern Africa’s Sahara Desert, telling them about the message of HOPE. I was thrilled very much because the line of barrier was destroyed by our Lord Jesus.

Wow, that is one powerful Good news!

Though I have deep passion for traveling, not doing commercial traveling, like the tourist type, my passion is on those Not an Average traveling one of those kind, where even normal tourist do not want to visit.

Teaching the world about life!

Wow!! What love is this?!

God is great! He loves me very much and treats me like a precious treasure, very important to Him. What more on how I see myself? Worthy, because of Jesus. Freedom in living a great life because of Jesus, free from sin!

Right now, just the way you are at this moment; you are completely, unconditionally loved. Thank you, Jesus.

Life is Weird

Life is weird; being a Christian in today’s society is something which many consider most weird and the called to be a follower of Christ are just insane. Life itself contains so much of confusion, things and thoughts which we could not fully understand and could not make sense out of it. Sometime it seems that our heart have many other hearts inside, which each beating out of its own. There were infinite directions and ways, even in the context of Christianity there were many ways of beliefs, practices, tradition, thinking, studies and etc. Many Christians spend most of their life doing research and trying to answer all the questions. At the end I just need to admit that the world which is created is greater than man, but the world which created by God is not greater than its own Creator, our God Almighty.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

As the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are my ways higher than your ways

And my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-10

So, I’ll do what I understand and what God has made known to me and leaving the rest of the debate to Him. There were two greatest commandments that God want us to know and fulfilled. First to love God with all my heart, soul and mind, second is to love our neighbors as myself. (Matthew 22: 37-40) “All the law and prophets hand on these two commandments.”

God grant us our heart's desire.

Psalm 20: 4-5

“May He grant you according to your heart’s desire,

And fulfill all your purpose.

We will rejoice in your salvation,

And in the name of our God we will set up our banners;

May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.”

I over heard the principle having a conversation with one of her kindergarten teachers in the pantry. Well, I’m definitely not a regular eardrop-er, however, on that day my ears were intuitively interested on what they are saying. They were having one of their casual conversations about the students on what the students did on that day. As they spoke I can pick up that they really enjoy just talking and talking and talking about their students. Well, with my many years of encountered with teachers, man, don’t they just like to talk? However, it is not the talking that I was interested with. But it is her passion as she talked about her students which hit me that the principle really loves the students whom she is teaching and she loves doing what she does.

Psalm 20: 4- 5 came to my thought that very moment that God grant us according to our heart’s desire. How privilege it is to be able to work in a job that is your passion. Oh, I mean HOW GREAT IS THAT!! I know that this has been a cliché that used often but REALLY come to think of it, I mean the feeling of the principle to wake up every morning to meet her students; it must be everyday sunshine for her. Well, I’m not losing out as well. Having this job as the Youth Director makes me wake up each morning desire to go for work. I love my job. MY JOB IS MY PASSION. My heart just melt in the Lord’s, I came to experience His great goodness to my life for blessing me in such a beautiful ways which it’s hard for me to comprehend. I give thanks to the Lord!

For you who have not claimed on Psalm 2-:4 -5, start being on your knees to pray. It took me almost 7 years to pray that I could work with the youths, and now I can’t thank God enough for answering my prayer. It may be hard to believe that God will grant us our heart’s desire, but this proven to me that God’s love is beyond comprehension. He is a Father who wants to give the best and who will give the best to His children, if they ask long enough. PRAY, WAIT AND HOPE!!

I’m way too Spartan to become a blogger. It took me a long time to write a blog and I was waiting that I would write a good blog for my youths. Due to my language inadequacy, it did scare me a bit to write something where the whole world may be reading it, and start judging my grannmar mistakes ( lol..)

I realized that they ain’t a good blog if it’s not about being you in the blog.

I passed on the perception that I need to preach while I’m in this blog, for I believe by only through the stories of my encounter with God daily, will be enough to be the influencing testimony for Christ. Being the real me, is the testimony. Man.. I love the word “INFLUENCING” it is just so powerful. For all young adult out there Youth Alive Malaysia will be having a conference on 21 & 22 Jun by the title “Influencing”, it’s a challenge to call all young adult to be an influencing tool for Jesus Christ in your workplace. Be there.

So I got to start personal right? .. as personal as the story begin in the scene when I was in the toilet doing my “business”. I apologies for being real. Well many do not know that I was an excellent “imaginator” (ruthie’s dictionary.com), I love to dwell my thoughts with fantasies of what I would like to become or do, but did not have the chance to do in real world. I’m a day-dreamer. I mostly possess only when I was in the toilet. I just got so much free time there, sitting there doing nothing. Ok ok I won’t go there.

Well, tonight as usual I was in the toilet and I was thinking ok what role would I do today? It took me awhile to ponder, then it took longer to think of anything, for I could not think of anything I want to do but the will of God for my life. All I can think of is how I can be use by God to do His will. The things which I most desired and desperate to do is to serve God will all my heart. To know this fact brings comfort to my heart, to know that your future and your life is in the palm of the hand of God, the hand, which created the earth, the hand, which stop the raging sea and thunders. You can rest and be comforted when this hand is holding your future. I’m resting in His plan for my life and I’m awaiting God to do the immeasurable. Can’t wait!

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

My first entre'

Everything comes with a "beginning" and an "end"..a long winding road, a journey, a story and a blogger's life.

I begin the life of a blogger today. Lol.. its slightly embarrass to tell people that this is my first entre' since everyone were already blastfully canggih with blog by now.

Peace, Joy and Love to all viewer of my blog.

I begin my first entre' by giving glory to God. Thanking Him for His unconditional love and mercy.

I hope at the end of my life as a blogger, I will still have this same motto through the end, which is to give glory to God.
